There shall come a Star out of Jacob
the Root of David,
I Jesus have sent my angel to testify unto you these things in the churches.
I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.
The King of Kings was not born in the Holy City of Jerusalem, but the little town of Bethlehem.
Also, called The City of David, it was considered small, insignificant, and the least among towns.
Jesus’ birth town was a fulfillment of Messianic prophecy.
“But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are small among the clans of Judah, out of you will come for me one who will be ruler over Israel, whose origins are from of old, from ancient times.” Micah 5:2
Jesus was born approximately 2000+ years ago in very humble beginnings.
He left the comforts of heaven to shed light on our world.
He was the long awaited Messiah! His arrival was marked by the Bethlehem star.
He was revealed to the Jewish people, later to the ends of the world.
At the young age of 33 years, Jesus started his ministry. 3 years later his mission was complete.
The promised Lamb of God carried out God's plan of salvation.
We deserved God's justice as we all fall short of his glory. We received GRACE instead. The Son of God paid the penalty!
He became our sacrifice so the judgement of God may passover His children.
... the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed. We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to our own way;
and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all. Isaiah 53:5-6
3 days after Jesus died, He came back to life, defeating evil, sin and death!
It was a physical resurrection! His flesh did not see corruption. Proving God's sovereignty over life and death.
Jesus spent 40 days with his disciples and 500+ people saw Him. Many testified to and died for their resurrection teaching.
By rising, Jesus restored our life. He spoke to his disciples about the Kingdom of God and promised the gift of the Holy Spirit. Our inner peace today rests in the certainty of eternal life with Him.
Be prepared for the return of Jesus.
Every eye will see Him.
Every ear will hear Him.
His angels will be with Him.
He will come to judge.
Those faithful to God will rejoice.
Many will be unprepared.
Stand victorious through the judgement. Submit and turn your eyes on Jesus. Accept God's grace today!
