Christian Beliefs

God created the universe. (Genesis 1:1) - "In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth."

 

Jesus was born through a miraculous birth. (Luke 2:11) - "Today in the town of David, a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord."

 

He is the Son of God. (Matthew 3:17) - "And a voice from heaven said, 'This is my Son, whom I love; with him, I am well pleased.'"

 

He died for our sins. (1 Peter 2:24) - "He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by his wounds, you have been healed."

 

He rose from the dead. (Luke 24:6) - "He is not here; he has risen! Remember how he told you, while he was still with you in Galilee."

 

He defeated death, sin, and Satan. (Colossians 2:15) - "And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross."

 

Salvation is not earned but rather it is received through faith in Christ. (Ephesians 2:8-9) - "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works so that no one can boast."

 

We become children of God when we receive Jesus as our Savior. (John 1:12) - "Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God."

 

Jesus restores our access to God for eternity. (1 Peter 3:18) - "For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God."

 

God's gift of the Holy Spirit is in us to guide us on earth. (John 14:26) - "But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you."

 

Jesus will come again! (Revelation 22:20) - "He who testifies to these things says, 'Yes, I am coming soon.' Amen. Come, Lord Jesus!"
